Sorrento Pier is a fruitful spot almost all year round. Depending on the year you can catch Whiting, Pinkies, Flathead, Gurnard, Parrotfish, Leatherjacket, Tommy Ruff and Garfish. Great spot for beginner fishing enthusiasts and families.

Suggested Bait
Try a few different types to see which the fish are biting at different times of the year. Fresh squid works all year round, pippies and sandworm have also been quite good.
Getting There
Follow Point Napean Road along the front beach and turn down the Esplanade. Parking is free during the off season.

Not much luck with bait today but there was plenty of action with spinners and spoons. Plenty of salmon caught, a barracuda and even a silver trevally which I have never seen at this spot!
